The course is focused on reviewing bone marrow aspirates and bone marrow biopsies of non-neoplastic changes (e.g. hyperplasia, hypolasia, post treatment,
autoimmune disorders, inflammation, toxic, occurrence of hematogones) and neoplastic disorders (myeloid, lymphatic, mast cells) according to the WHO
classification 2022.
A number of typical and also unusual cases will be discussed in detail by the faculty members using live microscopic demonstration or occasionally power
point demonstration. Special attention will be paid to the diagnostic criteria, rational use of immunohistochemistry and molcular diagnosis and differential diagnosis.
Several lectures will delineate special entities with regard to the classification and diagnostic criteria.
There will be enough time for participants to discuss difficult cases. Furthermore, the participants are given the opportunity to view digitized cases (virtual microscopy) four weeks prior and after the course
